Black plastic clip for barrel style blade holders (#615-0187)

This is a perfect replacement for my old one. It only took 5 min to replace it.
Old stock-in stock!

was really happy that I could still get original replacement parts for my hawk 20". So many times parts like these get discontinued and we are forced to make something to fit or even give up on the saw altogether. Got my part in a week and it fit just like new.
The only clip for this job.

I have purchased 4 of these plastic clips because they break. I wish they had metal ones, they would be better. The clips work well while they are in one piece tho.

I broke the original clip on my saw, this one is actually better than the original, due to holding the barrel and blade straighter than the original
Identical to original part

Fits perfectly and arrived as expected. It is exactly the same as the one that broke, which is OK I guess, but I would have preferred a more durable option, like perhaps a spring steel version. Also since shipping is more than the cost of the part I would rather pay more for a good one once, than have to keep ordering more.

This is a good improvement over the original. The sides are raised so that the barrel doesn't go flying when a blade breaks or comes out of its carrier.
Poorly engineered part

The lower barrel holder clip is not at all durable. Mine broke the second day after I installed it. "You get what you pay for" is a very true statement for this particular part. It's only $1.95, but it breaks too easily if the piece gets cold. It becomes brittle and snaps like a tooth pick if you're not "gentle" when removing or loading the barrel. This little cheap part wreaks havoc on the amount of time it takes to set up or break down the blade (which is a constant in scroll sawing). Why can't an aluminum stamped part be used instead. I'd rather buy one long lasting part for more money than, say 10 at a time. Instead, I'll just make one like I did 20 years ago when the original clip broke in the same fashion.

I have a RBI Hawk 20 that is almost 25 years old. When I first ordered this item, I noticed it had two mounting screws and my original only has one. None the less, only one hole was needed and it still fit perfectly.
